Financial Plan & Analysis Associate

Overview

Financial Plan & Analysis Associate role focused on end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) accounting and reporting in a Shared Services environment.

What you'll do

• Perform month-end/quarter-end/year-end close activities aligned to close calendars and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Prepare, post, and validate journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, allocations, and reclassifications.
• Handle intercompany accounting and reconciliations (as applicable).
• Own balance sheet account reconciliations and clear aged/reconciling items timely.
• Prepare audit schedules, support internal/external audits, and respond to audit queries.
• Provide variance analysis and commentary for key P&L and balance sheet movements.
• Identify and implement process improvements and support automation/testing activities.

What you'll need

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in R2R/General Ledger/financial accounting.
• BCom qualification.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and financial reporting tools.
• Working knowledge of month-end close, journals, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems or ability to learn (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Anaplan or similar).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
