Overview
Senior Accountant role partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy of Twilio’s carrier COGS and improve the monthly close.
What you'll do
- Serve as the dedicated accounting partner to the Carrier Operations team to streamline information flow and data integrity.
- Read, analyze, and document financial and accounting implications of complex carrier agreements.
- Support the COGS Accounting team with complex accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations for month-end close.
- Own monthly P&L and Balance Sheet fluctuation analyses for carrier cost accounts and investigate billing anomalies.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls, maintain accounting policy documentation, and act as contact for external auditors.
- Identify process inefficiencies and build systematic automation solutions using Twilio’s AI tools.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or a highly quantitative field.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting (Big 4/National) with a technology/telecommunications/CPaaS environment.
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP, operational month-end close structures, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and ability to work with massive, complex billing datasets.
- Hands-on experience using AI and automation tools including Alteryx, UiPath, Gemini, and NotebookLM.
- Flawless written and verbal communication skills in English, including explaining variance drivers to non-finance partners.

- Remote role based in India (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, Delhi).
- May be required to travel occasionally for in-person project or team meetings.
