Finance Manager

Overview

Finance Manager role responsible for leading and supervising hotel finance/accounting activities, including month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, budgeting/forecasting support, and audits.

What you'll do

• Maintain relationships with hotel departments and Home Office.
• Plan, organize, lead, and control finance team projects and activities.
• Supervise day-to-day duties of the Finance team and assist as necessary.
• Oversee month-end process tasks such as financial statements, accruals, and journal entries.
• Ensure monthly balance-sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations are completed and countersigned.
• Coordinate and facilitate external and internal audits.
• Assist the Director of Finance with budgets and forecasts.

What you'll need

• Proven leadership skills in a Hotel/Resort environment.
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and accounting controls/policies.
• Excellent Excel and computer skills; Sun/iScala and Opera systems knowledge would be ideal.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reports and facilitating meetings.
• Thorough understanding of the Accounting & Finance Manual and Month-End Process.
• Ability to operate with attention to detail and continuous process improvement.
