Fixed Asset (CPAM) Accounting Associates

Overview

As a CPAM Accounting Associate / Controller Coordinator, you will ensure the accuracy and completeness of fixed asset records and support global end-to-end fixed asset accounting operations.

What you'll do

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of fixed asset accounting records globally.
• Review Capital Authorization requests and ensure correct classification of Capital vs Expense as per accounting policy.
• Check Capitalize Interest applicability for capital projects.
• Monitor the functional mailbox and allocate received requests to team members.
• Perform project maintenance and updates for all capital and expense projects.
• Provide necessary support to Regional Fixed Asset Accountants.
• Perform assigned operational activities under moderate supervision, applying functional knowledge and experience within established standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with and help Project Managers to close projects on time.
• Manage asset transfers, sales, and disposals between entities.
• Initiate and manage Asset Verification activities according to company policy.
• Apply fixed asset accounting practices and adhere to established accounting policies.
• Analyze and resolve straightforward problems using technical experience, established practices, and personal judgement.

What you'll need

• Bachelor of Commerce.
• Core Fixed Asset Accounting or equivalent accounting experience (2+ years).
• Working experience with SAP.
• Proficiency developed through job training and experience to perform tasks with limited supervision.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Understanding of key business drivers for the discipline and function.
• Ability to expand conceptual and working knowledge related to the discipline or functional area.

Nice to have

• Experience in the SAP Fixed Asset Module is preferred.
• Experience with the SAP Fixed Asset module is preferred.
