Fixed Income Division - Associate/Senior Associate, Asia Macro FX Sales (Mumbai)

Overview

Trade support and middle office role within the Asia Macro FX Sales team in Mumbai, supporting sales and trading teams covering FX, Rates and related derivative strategies.

What you'll do

• Work with trade support teams, salespeople, trading assistants and external Middle Office functions to ensure perfect trade bookings and settlement, and quick resolution of trade disputes.
• Co-ordinate and facilitate resolution of trade discrepancies by liaising with trading desk, IT and settlements.
• Complete FX trade bookings and allocations, manage currency exposures, help check client positions and address client queries.
• Work with the sales desk to set up and facilitate new client opportunities.
• Become involved in projects and strategic work as required, and remain flexible regarding products dealt with.
• Collate and analyse daily, weekly and monthly management reporting data (trade processing, flow, positioning).
• Maintain proprietary spreadsheets and data.

What you'll need

• Graduate MBA with 2-3 years of experience.
• Previous experience within Foreign Exchange in a direct trade support, P&L support, or desk support capacity, ideally within a global investment bank foreign exchange department.
• Strong product knowledge of Foreign Exchange.
• Good understanding of trade flow processing and P&L principles, and of trading and transactions.
• Solid trade support experience with direct trade booking and revenue reporting.
• Proven work experience analysing data.
• Excellent telephone and communication skills, with regular phone contact with team and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Advanced knowledge and extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), including macros.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Confident and outgoing, with exceptional attention to detail and proactive initiative.

Nice to have

• Knowledge and execution of Asian currency markets.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg.
