Overview
Forward Deployed Engineer in Chennai at DevRev, working with Customer Experience on solutions built on the core platform.
What you'll do
- Develop AI agents, integrations, and automations connecting DevRev with customer tech stacks.
- Build and maintain a knowledge graph integrating DevRev with SaaS and non-SaaS systems via webhooks/APIs or real-time communication architectures.
- Optimize AI performance using prompt engineering, semantic search fine-tuning, and generative AI techniques.
- Write SQL queries, perform data analysis, and build dashboards to surface customer insights.
- Design proofs-of-concept, run live technical demos, and iterate based on customer/stakeholder feedback.
- Collaborate with customer and internal teams to align solutions and guide technical adoption.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of software development, systems integration, or platform engineering.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python, plus data structures and algorithms.
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, RAG/function calling, and building evals.
- Deep experience with large-scale data synchronization and API integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) plus event-driven/pub/sub architectures.
- Hands-on experience deploying on serverless/edge platforms (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions) with CI/CD, containers, and observability.
- Experience with logging, error surfacing, and telemetry for debugging and issue resolution.
