Forward Deployed Engineer {Mumbai}

Overview

Forward Deployed Engineer at DevRev, working with the Customer Experience team to develop customer-facing solutions on the core platform.

What you'll do

• Develop and launch AI agents, integrations, and automations for customer workflows.
• Connect DevRev with SaaS and non-SaaS systems using APIs, webhooks, and real-time communication architectures.
• Apply prompt engineering and generative AI techniques to improve agent accuracy and user experience.
• Write SQL queries, analyze data, and build dashboards for customer decision-making.
• Create proofs-of-concept and run live technical demos, refining based on feedback.
• Maintain collaboration loops with customers and internal teams across functions.
• Guide customers through technical adoption like code repository integrations and advanced configurations.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in software development, systems integration, or platform engineering.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG/function calling frameworks, and building evals.
• Deep experience with API integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) and event-driven/pub/sub architectures.
• Hands-on experience deploying on serverless/edge platforms (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions) and CI/CD.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
