Fraud Data Analyst

Overview

Seeks a detail-oriented Fraud Data Analyst to identify, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and account activity using analytical methods and SQL.

What you'll do

• Monitor transactions and customer accounts to find and investigate suspicious or fraudulent activity.
• Use fraud detection tools, systems, and techniques to detect emerging fraud trends and patterns.
• Conduct in-depth investigations into suspected fraud, gathering evidence and documenting findings.
• Analyze large datasets with SQL to identify anomalies and insights related to fraud behavior.
• Develop and implement fraud prevention rules, strategies, and controls.
• Stay current on best practices, emerging fraud threats, and new fraud detection technologies.

What you'll need

• Minimum 2 years of experience in fraud detection, prevention, or investigation.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with SQL and Python.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Computer Science, Analytics, or related).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Understanding of common fraud typologies (e.g., account takeover, identity theft, payment fraud).
• Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
