Software Engineer II (Brazil)

Overview

Software Engineer II role (Brazil) with responsibilities across design, development, and delivery of new full-stack product features at Sezzle.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain product features focused on learning new areas of the platform.
• Partner with other engineers to design, develop, and deliver new features.
• Collaborate with feature owners and provide constructive improvement suggestions.
• Participate in design and architecture discussions and share ideas.
• Contribute via code reviews and hands-on work with the codebase.
• Build and deploy scalable solutions with the team.
• Participate in planning, estimations, and project completion for stakeholders’ requests.
• Join on-call rotation to respond to production incidents.

What you'll need

• 3–7 years of experience.
• Experience solving technical problems as part of a team.
• React experience is preferred for frontend development familiarity.
• Backend problem-solving experience using Go or a similar statically typed compiled language.
• Intermediate understanding of relational databases like MySQL.
• Comfort leveraging AI tools such as Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
