Overview

Freight and Customs Expert responsible for coordinating import and export customs clearance and supporting compliance through documentation, monitoring shipments, and working with logistics partners.

What you'll do

• Analyze and interpret logistics and product delivery data to recommend changes.
• Coordinate and manage import and export customs clearance activities.
• Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, transportation providers, and government authorities for timely processing.
• Prepare, review, and maintain import/export documentation including customs declarations.
• Monitor international shipments and resolve transportation and customs-related issues, communicating risks or delays.
• Ensure accurate classification of goods and customs valuation and proper trade compliance requirements.
• Analyze customs and transportation data to find process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in customs operations and import/export coordination.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international trade documentation and procedures.
• Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and government authorities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Professional English proficiency, written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities.
