Full Stack Engineer - AVP

Overview

Full Stack Engineer (AVP) responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying, and maintaining enterprise risk technology applications, working within an agile delivery team.

What you'll do

• Develop software in Java using frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, and JPA.
• Design and build relational database components using RDBMS (Oracle, Postgres SQL).
• Design and deploy applications to cloud platforms including Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Build UI-to-REST service interfaces and develop data-grid centric UI using React.
• Participate across the full software lifecycle and agile software development processes.
• Use BDD and TDD practices, writing clean code, refactoring constantly, and supporting production reliability.

What you'll need

• Typically requires 10-15 years of applicable experience.
• Deep knowledge of at least one modern programming language with understanding of both OOP and functional programming (ideally Java).
• Practical experience with test-driven development and constant refactoring in continuous integration environments.
• Practical experience with web technologies/frameworks/tools: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Experience in Oracle PL/SQL programming is required.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience working in an agile team practicing Scrum, Kanban, or XP.

Nice to have

• Experience or exposure to Big Data Hadoop technologies/BI tools.
• Experience performing functional analysis.
• BDD experience for defining requirements and creating living documentation.
• Good knowledge of NoSQL/document databases/graph databases/Hadoop/HDFS/streaming or messaging.
• Exposure to architecture approaches such as Domain Driven Design, CQRS, Event Sourcing, and microservices.
