GCP Presales Specialist

Overview

Presales and solution architecture role focused on Google Cloud Platform, covering solutioning, RFP/RFI proposals, cloud modernization and partner enablement.

What you'll do

• Participate in pre-sales activities, including solutioning, cost estimation, proposal presentations, and partner enablement sessions.
• Work independently on Presales RFP/RFI to build solution proposals.
• Drive modernization initiatives leveraging a broad range of GCP services to improve performance and efficiency, including in-depth application and infrastructure assessments and defining modernization and migration paths.
• Architect solutions on GCP-based cloud infrastructure and modernize legacy applications to cloud-native architectures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to articulate solution concepts and influence teams.
• Mentor partner engineering team and enforce best practices.
• Work closely with the sales team to qualify leads, present solutions effectively, answer technical questions, and represent Ingram Micro at events and workshops.
• Accompany the sales team to customer and partner locations across India on a need basis for partner and customer meetings.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8 to 10 years in IT architecture or Presales solutions roles.
• Minimum 4 to 5 years focused on Google's cloud/hybrid cloud, infrastructure modernization, or managed services.
• Strong working experience in Presales with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.
• Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect.
• Proven experience with Google infrastructure, GKE, Terraform, observability, CI/CD, databases, and modernization projects.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud infrastructure, product solutions, and services.
• Hands-on experience with GKE, Terraform, and CI/CD tools.
• Demonstrated success in legacy system migration and cloud modernization, including VM workload and database modernization (SQL Server to PostgreSQL/AlloyDB).
• Knowledge of observability frameworks (e.g., Prometheus and Grafana).
• Good understanding of networking, security, and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong expertise in knowledge of security best practices in cloud and distributed systems.
• Experience with multi-cloud architectures with Cross-Cloud Interconnect.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design solutions that address customer needs and challenges.
• Proven experience in delivering technical presentations and demonstrations to a variety of audiences.
