GenAI Software Engineer, AVP

Overview

GenAI Software Engineer responsible for building and maintaining secure, high-performance software solutions within a feature team. The role supports Small Language Model experimentation, fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment-related work.

What you'll do

• Engineer and maintain complex software, scripts, and tools.
• Produce critical software rapidly and to a high standard.
• Design, test, and implement working code.
• Work across requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and business analysts.
• Optimise software engineering capability.
• Support software through development, enhancement, maintenance, and decommissioning.

What you'll need

• Background in software engineering, software design, and architecture.
• Experience with development, testing, bug tracking, and wiki tools.
• Experience fine-tuning, cleaning data, tokenising, and evaluating Small Language Models.
• Experience running experiments, tracking metrics, and generating reports.
• Exposure to model deployment and MLOps tasks.
• Background automating repeatable data and training processes.
• Ability to solve highly complex analytical and numerical problems.
