Overview
Develop, evolve, and execute strategic sourcing strategies for raw materials as a Global Category Buyer, Best Cost Countries. Support manufacturing and supply chain excellence by ensuring supply security, speed to market, the right cost base, and manufacturability for commercial and pre-launch activities.
What you'll do
- Develop innovative sub-category strategies that have measurable benefit for Sanofi.
- Negotiate with Best Cost Country suppliers and deliver savings based on anticipation and consolidation of all business needs.
- Drive major transversal category initiatives to build up state-of-the-art practices and innovation in sourcing.
- Leverage both generative and predictive Artificial Intelligence in sourcing, scenario and result augmentation.
- Leverage procurement technical excellence such as TCO, SRM, Market Intelligence, Risk Management, Innovation, Digital, CSR, HSE, Compliance, and Quality at Global Level.
- Lead Global Business Reviews with preferred suppliers to ensure ambition and execution on both sides.
- Design, negotiate, and implement complex Master Service Agreements and contract negotiations with global suppliers.
- Lead Phase-3 CMC activities, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards required during the drug development process.
- Oversee Raw Materials procurement across all domains, including Small Molecules and Large Molecules (biologics).
- Lead dual sourcing processes to mitigate supply risks, ensure business continuity, and strengthen supplier resilience across all raw material categories.
- Govern key account management for strategic suppliers and manage relationships.
What you'll need
- Experience in Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management for Raw Materials in R&D or Manufacturing, specifically in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
- Supplier landscape know-how and a demonstrated track record of achieving significant cost savings.
- Strong understanding of the raw materials procurement value chain from R&D up to LCM, supply chain dynamics, and industry trends.
- Good knowledge of raw materials supplier landscapes and their respective capabilities.
- Confident and capable interaction with key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Assertive, high-level communication, good organizational skills, excellent presentation skills, and excellent interpersonal sensitivity.
- Experience and confidence in managing complex and undefined business situations in a multi-cultural environment.
- Influential management and ability to convince and persuade others regarding appropriate solutions.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills with the ability to lead complex supplier relationships.
- High sense of ethics, business integrity, and compliance in doing business.
- Minimum university degree from an accredited college or university.
- Excellent command of English.
Nice to have
- Chemistry or Chemical Engineering degree.
- Procurement certifications.
