Overview

Manager-level BSS/OSS solution architect role in Accenture's Communications and Media practice, designing and implementing BSS/OSS solutions and digital transformation roadmaps for telecom clients.

What you'll do

• Define and implement a long-term BSS/OSS digital transformation roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Define target architecture and transition roadmap for a future-ready, scalable, cloud-native BSS/OSS ecosystem.
• Drive cloud-first, AI-driven and API-enabled architectures to enable agility and scalability.
• Develop business cases for BSS/OSS modernization, ensuring cost optimization and revenue growth.
• Design and define scalable end-to-end BSS/OSS architecture integrating CRM, Order Management, Billing, Inventory and Service Assurance and Fulfilment.
• Develop scalable, modular and future-proof IT solutions to support new services and business models.
• Ensure seamless integration between BSS (CRM, Order Management, Channels, Billing, customer care) and OSS (Network Inventory and Service Assurance).
• Support API-driven architectures and microservices adoption for flexible deployments.
• Identify and shape AI, GenAI and Agentic AI use cases across telecom customer journeys and BSS capabilities.
• Translate business requirements and use cases into techno-functional solution designs, covering process impacts, system changes, data requirements and integrations.
• Define AI-ready solution options and architecture patterns, ensuring alignment with the existing BSS/OSS landscape and target architecture.
• Collaborate with business, architecture, product and engineering teams to assess feasibility, dependencies and business value of AI-enabled solutions.
• Drive API-led monetization through ecosystem partnerships (B2B2X, Network APIs, IoT billing models).
• Develop real-time charging models for 5G, IoT and hybrid business models.
• Assist market-facing executives in business development activities, including bid management and proposal preparation.
• Collaborate with executives to develop assets, methodologies, points of view, research and white papers to enhance team capabilities and thought leadership.

What you'll need

• Minimum 10 years of experience.
• MBA and B.Tech/BE educational qualification.
• Telecom industry expertise with foundational knowledge of BSS/OSS architecture, design and transformation.
• Experience designing end-to-end BSS/OSS architecture and solution design documents.
• Experience integrating various telecom systems.
• Deep understanding of CRM, Order Management and fulfillment, and Billing.
• Strong knowledge of Service Provisioning, Service Assurance, Network Inventory, and Fault and Performance Management.
• Understanding of AI, GenAI and Agentic AI concepts and their applicability across telecom BSS/OSS capabilities, processes and customer journeys.
• Ability to translate business requirements and AI use cases into functional/solution designs, including process impacts, data needs, integrations and BSS/OSS system changes.
• Understanding of integration technologies such as API, SOAP, REST, microservices architecture and TM Forum APIs.
• Ability to design scalable, modular and future-proof BSS/OSS solutions.
• Strong communication with business leaders, technical teams and vendors.
• Ability to analyze complex BSS/OSS challenges and recommend optimal solutions.
• Customer-centric mindset, ensuring seamless customer experience (CX) and journey mapping in digital transformation.
• Ability to guide teams and junior consultants in BSS/OSS strategy.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of telecom COTS products such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Netcracker, Amdocs platform, etc.
• Exposure to GenAI/Agentic AI use-case prototyping, copilots or agent platforms within telecom or enterprise environments.
• TOGAF/eTOM certification (highly desirable).
• Knowledge of emerging business models in B2B marketplaces, NaaS, GPU-as-a-Service, AdTech, Private 5G and telco data-enabled products.
• Understanding of lean concepts and hands-on experience delivering technology-driven business transformation projects using agile practices such as Scrum, Kanban and SAFe.
• Experience with agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Rally or MS Project.
• Ability to propose solution options and recommend the architecturally compliant option that is most feasible in terms of cost effectiveness, robustness, security and maintainability.
• Understanding of BSS/OSS consolidation, IT integration planning and post-merger system harmonization.
