Solution Architect

Overview

Act as the intermediary between Enterprise Architecture, Platform Architecture and DevSecOps, driving the roadmap of SAP-based integrations and the SaaS-ification of IT as a Platform.

What you'll do

• Create solution architecture consistent with the approved Enterprise Architecture Roadmap, Principles, and Guidance
• Analyse enterprise business context, strategy, and change requirements to guide solution direction and architecture
• Execute technology validation and architecture evaluation while driving adherence to processes, guidelines, and governance
• Provide advice to key stakeholders and ensure architectural design is aligned with stakeholders in the market, platforms, and IT teams
• Provide architectural guidance as an active stakeholder in the initial start-up of programs and projects
• Recognize conflicts in solution direction and design proposals and take countermeasures to resolve them
• Enable a strong relationship with DevSecOps teams, ensuring solutions are built as designed
• Participate in capability assessment initiatives for the different platform domains
• Collaborate closely with Business Process Owners, other Solution Architects, Platform Solution Managers, and Project Managers within Integration and with other IT Platforms to deliver business objectives
• Provide support, oversight and technical assistance to partners for incidents, change requests, service requests and regular operations such as patching, release management and other recurring work
• Bring in best practices and continuous improvement ideas
• Coach others within the Integration team and counterparts in the Platform Domains

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or master's degree in IT or a related field
• Agile SDLC way of working
• Overall 10+ years of Integration domain experience, with hands-on experience as an Integration specialist
• Experience in SAP-based integrations using SAP PI/PO and related add-ons such as the B2B module
• Experience with the SAP Adapter framework, including but not limited to IDOC, RFC, JMS, AS2 and HTTP
• Experience in Order2Cash processes: Warehouse and Factory management, Customer and Vendor EDI including B2B and B2C, Intelligent demand management and planning, and Connected and digital supply chain network
• Experience in UML, Visio, draw.io or similar
• Experience collaborating with partner teams and coaching junior resources
• Able to understand how integration solutions facilitate business solutions, articulate this in business terms, and communicate in English with business leadership
• Drive efficiencies using Lean methodology
• Experience delivering high-quality integration solutions
• Able to communicate at all levels of the organization
