Grid Integration Specialist, Renewable Energy

Overview

Support interconnection activities and power system studies for solar PV and storage projects across US ISO and utility markets, working with colleagues in India and the United States.

What you'll do

• Support management of all interconnection activities across the full life cycle of application, development and construction of solar PV + storage projects in MISO, PJM, SPP, WECC and ERCOT.
• Track ISO and utility transmission expansion plans, resource plans and interconnection regulations as they evolve.
• Support the preparation and filing of interconnection requests.
• Support power system modelling, including injection studies, load flow studies and curtailment studies.
• Manage project timelines and coordinate cross-functional teams.

What you'll need

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Electrical or Power in any sector.
• Deep knowledge of Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems and Power Electronics.
• Expertise with ETAP, PSSE, PSLF, ASPEN and PSCAD modelling.
• Familiarity with transmission system and interconnection process across ISOs and utilities in the US.
• Knowledge of Utility OATT policies, transmission cost regulations and ISO transmission planning.
• Background in transmission project design, construction and cost estimates for sub-stations, transmission lines and switchyards, and schedule management.
• Experience with solar + storage interconnection project designs.
• Experience in transmission cost.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Fluent in English, with professional vocabulary.
• Strong negotiation, leadership, communication, technical and critical thinking skills, with problem-solving and data analysis abilities.
• Organized and meticulous, able to set, manage and track multiple priorities, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
