Hardware Engineer

Overview

Hardware Engineer role focused on hardware system development for Service Provider routers within Cisco’s Common Hardware Group.

What you'll do

• Capture schematics using Cadence/Allegro.
• Collaborate with ASIC, FPGA, and software teams for hardware bring-up.
• Support product qualification.
• Debug issues in the lab and analyze system logs.
• Support cross-functional teams for product sustaining.

What you'll need

• Have a bachelor’s or master’s in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Have 8-12 years of system-level development experience.
• Have experience with Ethernet and high-speed SERDES (>25G) interfaces.
• Have knowledge of X86 architecture and control interfaces such as PCIe, MDIO, SPI, and I2C.
• Be experienced in designing with DDR5 and SSD memory devices.
• Have hands-on board design knowledge and familiarity with Cadence Concept and Allegro.
• Have experience with hardware bring-up and design validation.
