Hardware Engineering Technical Leader

Overview

Hardware Engineering Technical Leader for Cisco’s Common Hardware Group, working on hardware system development for Service Provider routers.

What you'll do

• Contribute to architecture definition and system feasibility studies.
• Develop hardware specifications and test plans.
• Capture schematics using Cadence/Allegro.
• Collaborate with ASIC, FPGA, and Software teams for hardware bring-up.
• Support product qualification and review test reports.
• Debug lab issues and analyze system logs.
• Support cross-functional teams for product sustaining.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or master’s in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 12+ years’ experience in system-level development (preferably server/computer/network).
• Experience with Ethernet and high-speed SERDES (>25G) interfaces.
• Experience with X86 architecture and control interfaces (PCIe, MDIO, SPI, I2C).
• Experience designing with DDR5 and SSD memory devices.
• Hands-on board design knowledge and tools including Cadence Concept and Allegro.
• Experience with hardware bring-up and design validation of products.
