Head of SAP Enterprise Core Systems and Platforms

Overview

Senior leadership role focused on operating and evolving bp’s global SAP enterprise core systems and platforms while guiding the SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation (via RISE with SAP).

What you'll do

• Define, develop, and maintain the SAP platform strategy and roadmap.
• Lead day-to-day SAP platform operations and oversee delivery of platform/infrastructure projects.
• Own security, availability, recoverability, and operational resilience for SAP platforms.
• Lead SAP platform modernization initiatives and support integration with the broader technology ecosystem.
• Establish governance and risk management frameworks, standards, and executive-level risk insights.
• Manage strategic supplier/partner relationships to ensure service quality and delivery commitments.

What you'll need

• Deep expertise across SAP ERP platforms and enterprise-scale technology operations.
• Expertise across SAP RISE and S/4HANA transformation environments.
• Experience with platform engineering and service management.
• Expertise across cybersecurity and resilience.
• Experience delivering SAP transformation programme execution and driving delivery outcomes across large-scale programmes.

• Work mode: hybrid (office/remote working).
• Travel: up to 10% travel should be expected.
• Team size managed: approximately 80 bp employees with 300+ third-party resources.
