Overview

High Performance Computing - Networking Software Development Engineer working on software systems for HPC, networking, and related components.

What you'll do

• Design limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for parts of systems software.
• Analyze designs and determine required coding, programming, and integration activities.
• Execute and write portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned application components.
• Identify and debug issues in code and suggest changes or improvements.
• Collaborate with internal and outsourced partners to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions for assigned systems portions.
• Communicate software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution to stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Typically 2-4 years of experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• C, C++, Java (or equivalent language) coding experience.
• Experience in distributed systems focused on resiliency, high availability, horizontal scaling, and state distribution.
• Develop networking and telemetry software involving Layer 2 networking and HPC technologies.
• Testing methodology experience including executing test plans, debugging, and testing scripts/tools.

• Hybrid role requiring work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
