Systems/Software Engineer III (Platforms Developer, Interfaces/Optics)

Overview

Systems/Software Engineer III responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging systems software enhancements and subsystems, including operating systems, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.

What you'll do

• Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions/subsystems of systems software.
• Analyze designs to determine coding, programming, and integration activities based on overall architecture.
• Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, documentation, and debugging for code/integration issues.
• Lead a project team of software systems engineers and development partners for reliable, cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate and communicate on software systems design status, progress, and issue resolution.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 5-9 years experience.
• Expertise in multiple software systems design tools and languages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience designing software systems running on multiple platform types.
• Knowledge of software systems testing methodology (test plans, debugging, testing scripts/tools).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including mastery in English and local language.
