Highway Design Engineer-Civil

Overview

Highway Design Engineer responsible for designing and checking highway project elements within multidisciplinary, offshore-executed projects. The role includes supervising designers, maintaining technical quality, and coordinating with Canada-based customers.

What you'll do

• Design and check elements associated with highway projects.
• Supervise designers and drafting staff on projects.
• Maintain technical quality standards.
• Mentor junior designers.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Liaise with Canada-based customers.

What you'll need

• Hold a degree in Civil Engineering.
• Have around 3–10 years of relevant consultancy experience in highways and related features in the Canada region.
• Apply TAC standards in road design.
• Use OpenRoads Design, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
• Have experience implementing quality standards and procedures.
• Demonstrate successful delivery of highway projects.
• Have strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Hold a Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Have experience designing grade-separated junctions.
• Have experience designing pipe drainage networks.
• Have working knowledge of Canadian highway design standards.
