Overview
Develop and engineer HMI and SCADA applications for FACTS technology using AVEVA System Platform and MicroSCADA solutions. The role covers control system design, testing, verification, project execution, customer-facing acceptance activities, and commissioning support.
What you'll do
- Develop and engineer HMI and SCADA applications for FACTS technology in AVEVA System Platform and MicroSCADA solutions.
- Verify HMI and SCADA/Gateway solutions for control systems in the test area.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests.
- Design and validate control system network architecture.
- Support development of control system documentation.
- Support the delivery organization in implementing new solutions for customer projects through commissioning.
- Support the tender organization for new opportunities.
- Take responsibility for design, project schedule, budget, and quality of deliverables throughout project execution for the control engineering scope.
- Work with other engineering disciplines, the project manager, the project management engineer, and customers during factory acceptance and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Travel globally during the commissioning period based on project requirements.

What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (E&I).
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in oil and gas, energy, utilities, or substation automation systems.
- A strong foundation in electrical control systems and SCADA/DCS platforms.
- Hands-on experience designing HMI solutions using MicroSCADA and AVEVA System Platform.
- Knowledge of the IET600 engineering tool, SCIL programming, and the IEC 61850 standard.
- Competence in substation automation engineering and station control systems based on MicroSCADA, including IEC 61850-8-1, Modbus, OPC DA/UA, IEC protocols, and DNP.
- Good understanding of Ethernet network topologies and redundancy concepts.
- Be a proactive problem-solver who takes initiative and consistently delivers high-quality work on time.
- Be motivated to contribute to continuous improvement and the development of new solutions.
- Proficiency in English and comfort collaborating and exchanging knowledge in an international environment.
- Ability to work independently while applying established standards and procedures.
Nice to have
- Experience in IEC 61850, MicroSCADA HMI, event and database management, or communication protocols.
