HR Specialist - 1 year Fixed Term Contract

Overview

HR Specialist responsible for supporting clients and professionals in Canada, managing regional HR matters, and coordinating HR, accounting, and legal service providers. This is a one-year fixed-term contract requiring an immediate joiner.

What you'll do

• Manage Canadian employee lifecycle events and HR functions.
• Provide guidance on Canadian employment requirements, benefits, payroll, and HR matters.
• Manage Canadian payroll providers, benefits brokers, HR advisors, and other partners.
• Support client acquisition and customer relationships with Canadian HR expertise.
• Handle offboarding and terminations in compliance with Canadian labour laws.
• Maintain customer and professional records across online portals and vendor platforms.
• Lead compliance projects with cross-functional teams.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of Human Resources experience.
• BS/BA degree or higher in Human Resources, International Business, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment laws and legal requirements.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Willingness to work flexible hours across time zones.
