HSIO Characterization Engineer, Senior

Overview

Senior Digital Bench Characterization Engineer for HSIO Post Silicon Engineering, focused on bench characterization of LPDDR/PCDDR subsystem components and high-speed IO interfaces.

What you'll do

• Evaluate parametric performance of DDR and high-speed IO IPs.
• Perform failure analysis to root-cause design problems.
• Characterize DDR subsystem components including DRAM, DRAM controller and DRAM PHY.
• Characterize high-speed IO interfaces such as PCIe, USB2/3/4, DisplayPort, HDMI, MIPI-CSI/DSI, and UFS.
• Work closely with IC design, system engineering, and hardware applications teams across the globe.

What you'll need

• Have a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related hardware engineering experience, or a Master’s degree with 1+ year, or a PhD.
• Have familiarity with test and characterization of DDR and high-speed IO interfaces.
• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of mobile & PC DDR protocols including DDR2/3/4 and timing diagrams.
• Have understanding of electrical parametric compliance topics like eye diagrams, jitter analysis, and signal integrity.
• Have hands-on experience with bench instruments such as oscilloscopes, BERT, network/spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• Have programming skills in Python and C/C++/C# (or equivalent).
