Electrical Engineer

Overview

Electrical Product Engineer providing electrical product engineering support for new and sustaining products across the product lifecycle from NPI to EOL.

What you'll do

• Provide new product introduction support from pre-concept commit through EOL.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support new product development BOM structuring and BOM risk management.
• Work with hardware and mechanical design to resolve Dfx issues before product release.
• Drive and participate in design and manufacturing FMEA activities.
• Lead product quality issue work in NPI and sustaining, including value engineering and cost avoidance.
• Perform design lab experimentation/debug using DOE/EFA and diagnostic analysis.
• Conduct design diagnostic analysis, debug, and board bring-up.

What you'll need

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years related experience.
• Experience troubleshooting failures down to board and component level using diagnostic tools.
• Ability to characterize timing interfaces using scope, logic analyzers, and TDR.
• Experience with Allegro, Valor, and other manufacturing tools.
• Deep understanding of PCB fabrication and PCB assembly processes.
• Proficiency in design tools (Valor, schematic, CAD, and other CAE tools).

• Working within Cisco’s Core Routing Business Unit (CRBU) Product Operations team.
• Focus on cost and quality from New Product Introduction (NPI) to End of Life (EOL).
• Work closely with HW Engineering, Product Ops, GSM, Mfg Ops, and EMS partners.
