HVAC Design Engineer

Overview

HVAC Design Engineer for Johnson Controls’ Navy systems HVAC design team in Kochi, India, supporting bespoke HVAC and refrigeration system design for Navy vessels.

What you'll do

• Prepare technical proposals for HVAC enquiries.
• Work on projects from concept and detailed design through installation and commissioning design support.
• Perform HVAC design load calculations.
• Write detailed specifications for systems and components per client requirements and class rules.
• Create test procedures and write technical reports.
• Conduct site visits and site surveys if necessary and coordinate with clients/stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC or Refrigeration.
• Experience in HVAC or Mechanical Systems design.
• General knowledge of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and air conditioning system fundamentals.
• Good skills using AutoCAD 2D and 3D and/or Inventor.
• Good skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Communication skills, team working skills, and ability to prioritise workloads.
