Overview
Support daily IBOR accounting activities across investment portfolios, maintaining accurate positions, cash, accruals, and transactions within the Investment Book of Record (IBOR). Investigate exceptions and data integrity issues in a controlled, deadline-driven environment while collaborating with internal operational teams.
What you'll do
- Perform daily IBOR accounting activities and validate portfolio transactions.
- Monitor and process cash movements, income accruals, corporate actions, and security events.
- Verify the accuracy of positions, cash balances, and valuation data within the IBOR platform.
- Support day-to-day accounting production and reporting requirements.
- Investigate accounting exceptions and data integrity issues.
- Perform root cause analysis for breaks and discrepancies.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve operational issues within established timelines.
- Escalate material issues and control concerns appropriately.
- Support cash, position, transaction, and valuation reconciliations.
- Assist in break resolution and document findings.
- Ensure reconciliation exceptions are investigated and resolved timely.
- Adhere to established operational controls and procedures.
- Maintain accurate audit trails and process documentation.
- Support internal and external audit requests as required.
- Identify control gaps and raise process improvement opportunities.
- Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Assist in documenting procedures and updating operating guidelines.
- Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
What you'll need
- 2–4 years of experience in IBOR Accounting, Fund Accounting, Reconciliation, Middle Office Operations, or Investment Operations.
- Basic understanding of the investment lifecycle and accounting principles.
- Understanding of Investment Book of Record (IBOR).
- Understanding of cash and position accounting.
- Understanding of the trade lifecycle.
- Understanding of income and corporate actions processing.
- Understanding of reconciliations and break investigation.
- Understanding of NAV and valuation concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and investigation capability.
- Ability to interpret data and identify anomalies.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines.
- Ownership mindset and willingness to learn.
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Exposure to fixed income, equity, derivatives, or alternative investment products.
- Experience working in a financial services or asset management environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- CA Inter, CFA Level I, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification.
- Exposure to tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, or reconciliation platforms.
