Overview

Senior Associate for Data Engineering and Data & Analytics services at PwC, leading data engineering engagements to deliver scalable data platforms and actionable insights for clients.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures using Spark, PySpark, and Python.
• Lead and manage a team of data engineers with technical guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across data engineering projects.
• Implement best practices including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and manage project timelines, resources, and budgets.

What you'll need

• 5–8 years of experience in data services, data architecture, and data platforms.
• Mandatory certification/skills in Spark 3.0.
• Hands-on expertise in Spark, PySpark, and Python for data engineering.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong leadership and team management capability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-native data engineering platforms such as Databricks and Azure/AWS.
• Familiarity with cloud storage/processing/analytics services such as BigQuery, Redshift, S3, or EMR.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with machine learning and data science concepts.
