Industrial Component Engineer

Overview

Industrial Component/Industrial Process Engineering role focused on electronics component database quality, lifecycle management, and coordination with EMS partners for failure analysis and codification. The position is based in Bengaluru.

What you'll do

• Collect and update component removal and purchasing data from EMS partners into internal databases.
• Interface with local EMS partners to track component removals and reported failures.
• Support failure mode analysis (FMA), root cause investigation, and CAPA recommendations.
• Manage component codification through internal processes (RPS / PDA / APRU / IDC).
• Conduct BOM analysis to identify alternate components and support alternate sourcing for legacy products.
• Coordinate removed components with EMS partners for analysis in France.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 6–8 years of experience in electronics (PCB-A) component engineering or quality.
• Strong understanding of electronic components, BOM structures, and EMS operations.
• Experience in failure analysis and component lifecycle management.
• Technology skills in component databases and PLM/ERP tools.
• Ability to analyze datasheets and perform component cross-referencing.
• Familiarity with compliance standards including RoHS and REACH.
