Information & Security Engineer

Overview

Information & Security Engineer to secure internal systems and support security operations for NK Securities Research’s infrastructure and security team.

What you'll do

• Secure internal systems and manage VDI environments.
• Enforce DLP controls including USB/removable device blocking and restrictions on file transfers.
• Monitor network traffic and maintain centralized security logging.
• Manage corporate proxy servers and associated logging.
• Support vulnerability assessments, patching coordination, and incident response activities.
• Assist with phishing simulations and periodic cyber attack simulation drills.

What you'll need

• 0-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong Linux fundamentals (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL).
• Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.
• Basic to intermediate scripting skills in Python or Bash (or similar).
• Exposure to network monitoring/packet analysis tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, Zeek, or Suricata.
• Understanding of DLP concepts, endpoint security, USB device control, and data classification.
• Working knowledge of security frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP Top 10, and CIS Benchmarks.
