Job description

Overview

As an Infrastructure Capacity Planner on the Demand Planning team, you will own the medium-range demand forecast for infrastructure resources and use it to drive planning accuracy.

What you’ll do

  • Build and own a medium-range multi-resource demand forecast for accelerators, CPU, storage, egress, and managed services.
  • Run a plan-vs-reality feedback loop by comparing planned allocations against observed fleet occupancy weekly.
  • Identify unrecorded trades and stale allocations, and drive variance toward zero using planning tools and data teams.
  • Qualify each incoming capacity tranche against the forecast (shape, region, quarter, and supporting-resource envelope).
  • Partner with Finance and cost-efficiency teams to turn the forecast into core spend drivers and target savings where waste appears.

What you’ll need

  • Experience with capacity, demand, or supply planning for large-scale technical infrastructure (cloud, HPC, hyperscale, or a large internal platform).
  • Ability to articulate the difference between a forecast, a plan, and an allocation.
  • Ability to build forecasting/optimization models using SQL on a warehouse and Python/pandas or a forecasting/optimization stack.
  • Understanding of data-center resource classes and how storage/egress forecasting differs from GPUs.
  • Preference for simple, inspectable models and the ability to instrument forecast error.

Details

  • Hybrid policy: expected to be in one of the company offices at least 25% of the time.
  • Visa sponsorship is available, with reasonable efforts made if an offer is made.
