Overview
Storage Support Engineer responsible for day-to-day operations and reliability of enterprise block, file, and object storage platforms.
What you'll do
- Manage daily operational responsibility for storage platform stability, performance, and scalability.
- Build automation and tooling using scripting and configuration management to reduce manual work.
- Perform proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and performance analysis to remediate risks and optimize cost/utilization.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and optimize storage systems and firmware, including hardware refresh projects.
- Troubleshoot complex production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with global teams to support 24x7 coverage and effective handoffs.
- Manage incident response and stakeholder communication, including post-incident reports.
What you'll need
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise storage platforms in production.
- Experience with block storage, file storage, and object storage technologies.
- Scripting/automation skills using Bash, Python, and Ansible.
- Direct experience with data protection technologies: Rubrik, Cohesity, and Data Domain.
- Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and optimizing enterprise storage systems and firmware.
- Incident management and troubleshooting experience resolving complex storage issues under production pressure.
- Ability to work shifts, join on-call rotations (including weekends), and work from the New York office as needed.
