NOC Engineer

Overview

NOC / Data Center Operations Engineer to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve reliability of Armada’s critical physical infrastructure and distributed edge data centers.

What you'll do

• Monitor critical physical infrastructure using PLC, BMS, and DCIM platforms.
• Respond to alerts for power, cooling, networking, environmental, and facility systems.
• Serve as a Tier 2 escalation point and lead incident resolution through documentation.
• Perform health checks for UPS, PDUs, CRAC/CRAH, backup generators, and environmental monitoring.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical infrastructure issues using MEP systems knowledge.
• Support remote/edge infrastructure operations and coordinate remote troubleshooting and hands-on support.
• Use tools like Grafana, ServiceNow, Zenduty, Jira, and SolarWinds for monitoring and incident management.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in NOC, data center operations, critical infrastructure operations, or a related technical role.
• Strong working knowledge of PLC, BMS, and/or DCIM platforms.
• Hands-on experience monitoring or supporting power and cooling infrastructure in mission-critical environments.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (UPS, PDU, CRAC/CRAH, generators, environmental monitoring).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and infrastructure monitoring/alerting.
• Experience with incident management, troubleshooting, escalation, and change management.
• Ability to read electrical one-lines, network schematics, and technical diagrams.
