Instructional Designer

Overview

The Instructional Designer creates and delivers an employee training curriculum covering topics such as onboarding, professional and leadership skills, technical/system training, process training, and safety/compliance.

What you'll do

• Gather specifications in meetings and confirm requirements for training deliverables.
• Partner with subject matter experts to obtain objectives, content, and alignment.
• Design and develop blended, adult-learning-based training materials using team standards.
• Create classroom (VILT) curriculum with visual presentations, learner guides, job aids, role-play, and handouts.
• Develop online curriculum using authoring tools with audio, video, and interactive elements.
• Maintain curriculum, materials, and process documentation as requested.
• Monitor trends and use AI tools and new technology to improve the design process.

What you'll need

• 5 years of instructional design/development/delivery experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with Articulate 360 Suite and audio/video editing tools.
• Ability to design learning using adult learning principles and best practices.
• Proficient use of Microsoft 365.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage timelines and deadlines with project management focus.

• Office environment with frequent computer-based work and standing/walking as required.
• Physical requirement includes occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
