Intermediate Software Engineer

Overview

Q2 is hiring an Intermediate Software Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support custom software solutions across the Q2 platform.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, integrate, and test moderate-complexity software solutions.
• Develop and maintain backend services and data processing workflows, including ETL pipelines.
• Deliver and support reliable solutions in live production systems.
• Debug issues and perform performance tuning and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to data analysis and model-driven features, including EDA and ML integration.
• Collaborate on AI-powered and agent-based solutions using modern LLM tooling.
• Share best practices, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance to teammates.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience developing web/tool and backend service components.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and modern AI workflows.
• Understanding of the full SDLC and service-oriented/microservices architectures.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
