Overview
Intern - Manufacturing Engineer to join Western Digital’s Polish Engineering team, supporting automation, data analytics, and manufacturing process improvement projects.
What you'll do
- Assist in developing and implementing automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate on programming and testing of automated systems.
- Support data collection and analysis for process improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot issues in the automated process/system.
- Contribute to documentation of automated processes and procedures.
- Support research on emerging automation or data science technologies.
What you'll need
- Be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in one of: Data Science, AI, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Have strong interest in industrial automation and control systems.
- Have a basic understanding of programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Know basic ML concepts (trend/anomaly).
- Know APIs, dashboards, and low-code automation tools.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Have strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Show eagerness to learn and apply new technologies.
Nice to have
- Be familiar with data analysis tools and techniques.
- Have understanding of basic electrical and mechanical principles.
- Have experience with robotics or motion control systems.
