Internal Audit Specialist

Overview

Internal Audit Specialist responsible for executing internal audits per the audit plan and working with business teams to assess processes, controls, and policies.

What you'll do

• Execute audits as prescribed in Internal Audit's audit plan.
• Learn, document, and/or test business processes to find control or policy gaps.
• Conduct compliance audits by testing evidence and identifying issues.
• Assess control design and operating effectiveness to manage risk within appetite.
• Validate exceptions by quantifying risks, investigating root causes, and agreeing action plans.
• Prepare work papers and formal written audit reports, including management review and remediation tracking.
• Maintain knowledge of IT, InfoSec, and auditing practices and industry trends.

What you'll need

• B.S. in business, accounting, information technology, or a related field.
• High ethical standards and ability to handle confidential, sensitive information.
• Familiarity with standards and regulations including SOX, COSO, IFRS, FFIEC, ISO, and GLBA.
• Familiarity with concepts of risks, controls, and auditing.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure/time constraints.
• Solid interpersonal, communications, presentation, and project management skills.
• Currently pursuing or able to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., CIA) within one year of employment.
