Overview
Serve as an Internal Control Specialist within the Group Finance team, strengthening Vanderlande's internal control environment and supporting compliance, reporting, audits and investigations.
What you'll do
- Support the Director Group Finance & Accounting Control in administering compliance processes, including IFRS, J-SOX, Internal Control Framework setup and compliance investigations.
- Own the design, implementation, documentation, assessment and monitoring of Vanderlande's internal control framework to ensure adequate controls prevent errors in financial reporting, processes and business operations.
- Assist in major cross-organizational projects and provide controls and compliance expertise, support and training to stakeholders on the business and finance sides.
- Perform walkthroughs over key financial processes.
- Support the formulation and review of policies and procedures to improve internal controls, compliance and efficiency.
- Deliver adequate and timely reporting on the internal control and J-SOX framework.
- Support the formulation of action plans to address and resolve control deficiencies.
- Follow up on remediation plans with respective control owners wherever required.
- Execute, document and report ad-hoc audits, investigations and internal control reviews required by Top Management, Toyota Material Handling Europe or Toyota Industries Corporation.
What you'll need
- Accounting qualification: CA, CIMA, CIA or ACCA.
- Experience of internal controls.
- 12+ years of relevant accounting, audit or internal control experience in a multinational or Big 4 auditing firm.
- Experience with SOX or J-SOX.
- Knowledge of a major ERP such as SAP or JDE.
- Fluency in English.
- Risk-based thinking, especially in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Drive to continuously improve.
- Ability to think in terms of concepts and processes and translate these into daily activities.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-geographic team.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Nice to have
- Experience in manufacturing or a project-based environment.
- Internal Control experience supporting business activities.
- Previous experience with JDE.
