Overview
Manage complex, critical and large professional disciplinary areas in architecture for Fraud and Financial Crimes. Lead architectural teams and deliver technical strategy, solutions and services for one or more businesses or geographic regions.
What you'll do
- Manage multiple architectural teams or an architecture functional area, depending on the size of the business.
- Lead and direct a team or multiple teams of professionals.
- Evaluate subordinates' performance and make recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations and other personnel actions.
- Develop the architectural strategy for a group portfolio of IT systems.
- Develop and recommend solutions that conform to enterprise standards.
- Develop technological and business application portfolio road maps based on emerging technologies and market trends/direction.
- Own technical directions and decisions based on technical expertise, experience, vision and market directions.
- Support the business/clients in evaluating and articulating the technical benefits of a solution to stakeholders.
- Analyze and evaluate strategic technologies offered by vendors.
- Share responsibility for budget, policy formulation and planning.
- Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions and communicate and negotiate with external parties when necessary.
- Assess risk when business decisions are made, considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.
- Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhere to policy, apply sound ethical judgment, and escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency.
- Supervise the activity of others and create accountability for those who fail to maintain required standards.
- Perform other job duties and functions as assigned.
What you'll need
- 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of the Fraud and Financial Crimes domain.
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially a Masters degree.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to develop working relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly.
- Methodical approach and attention to detail.
- Comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve the objectives of the function.
- In-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- In-depth understanding of theories and practices in architecture and multiple related areas.
- In-depth understanding of how architecture integrates within technology.
- Evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated or novel situations, using multiple sources of information.
