Investment Accounting, Associate

Overview

Investment Accounting, Associate role supporting outsourced investment accounting and regulatory/statutory reporting for insurance clients.

What you'll do

• Analyze accounting data and provide commentary on accounting results.
• Prepare, review, and/or ensure distribution of monthly accounting packages and reporting schedules by specified timeframes.
• Support special projects and initiatives to enhance the service offering.
• Develop understanding of accounting policy and pronouncements to ensure reporting follows required standards.
• Perform data reviews and checks to validate reporting data accuracy and completeness.
• Complete quarterly NAIC reconciliations with follow-up and resolution.

What you'll need

• 4-8 years of related work experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and controls and various investment types.
• Understanding of accounting bases including GAAP, US Statutory, IFRS, UK GAAP, and CAD GAAP.
• Strong communication skills to deal directly with clients and across levels.
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple requests while meeting deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail for accuracy and completeness.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Details

• Hybrid work model: required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
