Investment Banking Analyst - Mumbai - India

Overview

Assist the investment banking team in preparing analytical and data-driven components for M&A transactions for middle market clients in North America, Europe and Asia.

What you'll do

• Prepare and summarize data from raw client outputs in a presentation-friendly and discernible format.
• Assist in financial modeling, including building financial statements from trial balances, and compile and format financial statement analytics.
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and summarize key market trends and industry-specific dynamics.
• Assist in the preparation of client presentations and pitch materials.
• Perform in-depth buyer research to assess the suitability of prospective investors.
• Complete other ad hoc research and presentation tasks.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Two years+ post-qualification experience with demonstrated knowledge of working in a similar function.
• Efficient use of research databases.
• Business writing acumen, including proper grammar, style, and presentation.
• Thorough financial statement analysis skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Outstanding time management and organization skills.
• Superior attention to detail and conscientious quality of work product.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• IPCC/PE II cleared and/or MBA Finance.

Details

• Location: Mumbai - Goregaon, India.
• Non-exempt position; may require working hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.
• May require travel.
• Principally in-person work model with flexibility to determine optimal daily working environment with supervisor and team.
