Overview
Own the technical infrastructure for regional robotics data-collection deployments, spanning wearable-device firmware, device-to-cloud communication, AWS infrastructure, and high-throughput data pipelines.
What you'll do
- Develop firmware for wearable sensing devices, including microcontrollers, sensors, and real-time acquisition.
- Build device-to-cloud communication and streaming for synchronized vision and tactile data.
- Design and operate AWS infrastructure using EC2, S3, Lambda, and IoT Core.
- Develop Python APIs, ingestion services, and high-throughput data pipelines.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain device fleets and field capture setups remotely.
- Debug issues across firmware, hardware, and cloud systems.
- Collaborate with hardware, ML, and data teams on requirements, testing, and documentation.
What you'll need
- 4+ years of engineering experience across embedded systems and cloud.
- Strong C/C++, RTOS, microcontroller, real-time systems, sensor integration, and low-level programming skills.
- Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, S3, Lambda, IoT Core, and reliable high-throughput pipelines.
- Software engineering experience in Python or a similar language, including APIs and data streaming.
- Knowledge of networking, security, performance optimization, monitoring, and logging.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering or computer science field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluent English.
Nice to have
- Robotics, tactile or force sensing, wearable, or IoT device experience.
- Experience with real-world data collection, sensor fusion, time synchronization, or multi-camera capture.
- Exposure to ML data pipelines or robot-learning datasets.
- Korean or Mandarin language skills.
