IT Analyst Applications (Python Developer - Automation & AI)

Overview

Design, develop, and deploy intelligent automation solutions for the Order Fulfillment & Procurement team in the CAT IT Division. Build scalable Python applications, enterprise integrations, and AI/Generative AI solutions that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Python applications and services.
• Write clean, scalable, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with enterprise platforms and third-party systems.
• Design and implement business process automation solutions using Python.
• Build scripts, bots, and workflow automation for operational and business processes.
• Automate data extraction, validation, transformation, and reporting processes.
• Integrate automation solutions with cloud and enterprise applications.
• Develop AI-powered solutions using Machine Learning and Generative AI technologies.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and chatbots into business workflows.
• Build intelligent decision support systems and predictive analytics capabilities.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging AI technologies to drive innovation.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud data platforms.
• Build ETL/data pipelines for analytics and AI use cases.
• Consume and develop REST APIs, web services, and event-driven integrations.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Ensure security, compliance, and reliability of solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, product owners, and infrastructure teams.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

What you'll need

• 5-8 years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Python frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Experience with automation development and scripting.
• Proficiency in REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with SQL databases, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with AI/ML libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch.
• Experience with Generative AI solutions and LLMs.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, AI agents, and chatbot development.
• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts.
• Experience with process automation and workflow orchestration.
• Experience with API-based integration and event-driven automation.
• Experience with scripting, monitoring, and operational automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, LangChain, or similar AI platforms.
• Certifications in Python, Cloud Technologies, AI/ML, or Automation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, or Data Engineering platforms.
• Experience with RPA tools such as Power Automate, UiPath, or Automation Anywhere.
• Exposure to enterprise integration platforms like SnapLogic.
• Experience building AI copilots and intelligent assistants.

Details

• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka.
• Work onsite five days a week.
• Working hours: 01:00-10:00 PM IST.
