IT Operations Engineer

Overview

The IT Operations Engineer supports global datacenter operations, infrastructure, virtualization, networks, hardware, software, and end-user support in a high-availability environment.

What you'll do

• Monitor worldwide datacenter health and take corrective action.
• Support virtualization and network-related issues.
• Provide first-level customer support and escalate unresolved queries.
• Maintain local hardware and software inventory.
• Support international projects remotely.
• Monitor and resolve server and client hardware issues.
• Set up teams for container support.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networks, and security.
• Architect-level knowledge of end-to-end IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Knowledge of VMware ESXi 7 or above and storage technologies.
• Understanding of ITIL concepts.

Nice to have

• MCSA, VCP, Kubernetes, or Docker certifications.
• Experience with HP server hardware.
• Experience supporting container platforms.
• Experience with Nagios, OP5mon, or other monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of Cisco technologies.
• Experience with VEEAM or other backup products.
