IT Systems Engineer I

Overview

Design, build, and maintain integrations between YipitData's internal systems and SaaS platforms, and automate provisioning, access management, and cross-platform data synchronization as an IT Systems Engineer I.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain integrations between internal systems and SaaS platforms (e.g., Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, HRIS, and other business tools)
• Develop and maintain automation and workflows that improve system provisioning, access management, and cross-platform data synchronization
• Work with APIs, scripting, and automation tools to connect systems and streamline operational processes
• Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and IT teams to implement identity, access, and security-related integrations
• Research, evaluate, and implement integration solutions to address technical and operational challenges
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain integration reliability across connected systems
• Work with third-party vendors and platform providers to configure and support integrations
• Create and maintain clear documentation for integration architecture, workflows, and system dependencies
• Contribute to improvements in system architecture, automation, and operational efficiency across the company's technology stack

What you'll need

• 2+ years of experience working with SaaS platforms, integrations, or automation in a modern IT or engineering environment
• Experience working with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
• Comfortable building automation using Python, Shell scripting, or similar languages
• Experience working with identity and access systems such as Okta or similar platforms
• Enjoy solving complex technical problems by connecting systems and improving workflows
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving technical needs
• Organized and able to manage multiple integration projects simultaneously
• Enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams across IT, Security, and Engineering
• Learn quickly and are motivated to continuously improve systems and processes
• Enjoy working in a small but highly collaborative team

• Remote role that may be performed fully remotely within the United States, or from NYC or another US office hub
• Flexible work hours and flexible vacation
• If the remote work is performed outside of the NYC headquarters or other offices, income may be subject to New York State tax withholding
