Java Developer

Overview

Design, develop, and maintain complex backend systems using Java. Build scalable, reliable, and high-performance microservices-based solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Apply TDD and test-first development practices across all development stages.
• Implement data access layers using Hibernate and JPA.
• Manage caching using Redis or other caching frameworks.
• Ensure high quality through effective code reviews, static code analysis, and performance optimization.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain backend systems using Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud technologies under guidance.
• Participate in the design and implementation of microservices-based solutions.
• Assist in the integration and optimization of Oracle and MongoDB in high-performance environments.

What you'll need

• 3-4 years of software development experience with a strong focus on Java.
• Knowledge and experience in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture.
• Proficiency in Hibernate and JPA.
• Proficiency in relational databases, including Oracle.
• Proficiency in NoSQL databases, including MongoDB.
• Exposure to Redis or equivalent for caching and performance optimization.
• Proven experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Shift-Left testing strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Junit, Mockito, REST Assured, Cucumber, or Selenium.
• Understanding of code quality and performance optimization during development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to contribute to complex development tasks.
• Proven team collaboration skills.
• Good communication and basic stakeholder interaction.
• Ability to balance technical depth with immediate project priorities.
• Passion for high-quality, clean, and maintainable code.
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of API Gateways, Service Discovery, and Distributed Tracing, e.g., Spring Cloud Gateway, Eureka, Zipkin.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience with code quality tools, e.g., SonarQube and CheckStyle.
• Understanding of security best practices for backend development, including OAuth2, JWT, and Spring Security.
