Java Developer, Equity Finance Post Trade - Assistant Vice President

Overview

Develop and deliver capabilities for the Equity Finance Post Trade platform in Pune. Work with technologists and users across geographies to build business solutions through agile delivery.

What you'll do

• Engineer capabilities for the Trading platform according to the book of work.
• Conduct code reviews of development completed by others.
• Resolve high-impact problems and projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
• Provide expertise in the applications development area and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
• Use advanced knowledge of system flow to develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
• Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhere to policy, apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalate, manage, and report control issues transparently.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of relevant experience in an Apps Development or systems analysis role.
• Experience in system analysis and programming software applications.
• Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
• Exposure to AI solutions to accelerate development.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) capability in at least one area of Applications Development.
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
• Flexibility to work with a global team across geographies and time zones.
• Extensive development experience.
• Technical expertise in Java, Kafka, SQL, Git, and JMS.
• Fluency in modern CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
• Experience performing QA and using TDD and BDD practices.
• Proven ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Equity Finance or Securities Lending.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
