Java Developer - Vice President - Software Engineering

Overview

Senior hands-on Java developer and architect for a Vice President role in Corporate Workplace Technology, owning critical applications/platform capabilities end to end.

What you'll do

• Own one or more business-critical applications/platform capabilities end to end.
• Lead architecture and design discussions, setting technical direction and evaluating trade-offs.
• Design and develop core Java, full-stack, and integration solutions, ensuring robust technical outcomes.
• Partner with business stakeholders and global teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence including reusable components, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and production readiness.
• Investigate, triage, and resolve production issues with root-cause analysis and durable remediation.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools responsibly to accelerate delivery while maintaining engineering judgment.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of hands-on professional experience using Core Java and related frameworks.
• 5+ years architecting enterprise-scale solutions and leading design decisions.
• Experience owning business-critical applications/platform capabilities including roadmap input and lifecycle modernization.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or ChatGPT with responsible usage.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, integration patterns, and fault tolerance.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes for highly scalable, secure, fault-tolerant microservices.
• Highly proficient working in Linux environments.
